My mission, should I have chosen to accept it (which I did), is to find out how legitimate all these article sending sites are, and if they actually assist with link building in a way that truly makes them cost effective and worth purchasing.
Much hype has been made about the different article services out there. I picked a few to review, and sent out different articles with different keywords for my sites. All in all, the link-building power of each article service was the same. Over the last few weeks, I’ve DEFINITELY seen an increase in ranking from these services. The rank potential was fairly the same across the board, but some of the sites offer a handful of services at competitive prices that others simply don’t.
Each service is ranked based on link building power, user friendliness, features, and of course, price.
1. Distribute Your Articles – articlesender.com – FOUR STARS
Distribute Your Articles is a service that will run your submission through a basic computerized editing process upon submission. Once your article passes through the computer’s screening, an actual person will take a look at it to ensure you’ve chosen the right category for your submission, that you’re using appropriate HTML text, and more.
It was a little tricky to get the article through the submission process, but once it happened, the links started rolling in. My article was submitted to over 112 article sites, which made for some nice back links. There were some sites with fairly decent page rank in that list as well, so it definitely did the job I’m paying for.
The basic plan is under $20 a month, and for a little extra, they advertise “spinning†the articles. Being new(ish) to this, I signed up thinking this meant they would spin alternate versions of my text, but no such luck. They expect you to put in the alternate text. Afterward, they’ll rotate that text throughout the different services. I felt a little misled by their advertising, and I think an extra $35 a month is a little much just to be able to rewrite new versions of the article.
The functionality of the site is also a little clumsy – it’s difficult to seem to get logged in, and there were a few database errors when I tried to submit articles on a few occasions. All in all however, $20 or so isn’t bad to get your article spun to that many different engines.
2. Automatic Article Submitter – www.automaticarticlesubmitter.com – THREE STARS
A friend swears by this, and I was more than happy to take a look and try it out. I was initially a little iffy about Automatic Article Submitter’s $97 price, but I guess if you use this software for five months, you’ll never have to pay anything again – unlike the online services.
I feel like a lot of these article submission programs make you feel that article submission is going to be a “one-click†process. That’s impossible. Automatic Article Submitter is great in that it really makes submission about as easy as it can possibly be, and I got great results from it once I found time to make all the manual entries.
It also comes with a thesaurus, spinner and other neat knick-knacks. While I appreciate all that, I like the ease of not having to type stuff in manually and knowing that human eyes are going to be reviewing my articles. I think that’s definitely worth the money you will pay monthly for an online distribution service. We all know how much trouble you can get into if your categories aren’t straight and submission services think you’re spamming, so I like a service that takes the guess work out of that for you – and Article Submitter just isn’t it.
I would, however, recommend it for someone who’s done manual article submission before, and knows what they’re doing.
3. Unique Article Wizard – uniquearticlewizard.com – FIVE STARS
Unique Article Wizard is an online service similar to Article Sender. It’s a little pricier, with basic plans starting off as high as $60 a month – BUT IT DOES VIDEO, AUDIO, AND IMAGES.
A ton of people are investing in mass video sending software that can quickly get you banned from search engines. Unique Article Wizard seems to bring the best of both worlds – getting you quality back links that are reviewed internally, while allowing you to submit other types of content in addition to articles.
In addition, Unique Article Wizard is really easy to use and submit to, and honestly isn’t clunky at all. You only have to sign in one time, and then you stay signed in. Well-placed navigation makes your articles easy to find, fix and resubmit.
If you have just a few more dollars to cough up each month, and your business would truly benefit from getting those highly-indexable video back links as well, there’s absolutely no reason you can’t benefit from a submission service like Unique Article Wizard.
All in all, the three services I reviewed did a great job getting those back links, and were pretty much on equal footing with one another. Here, functionality and flexibility really mean a lot – after all, if you HAD the time to manually submit articles, you wouldn’t need a submission service! Online services are a boon to people who are looking to submit articles, and you won’t be disappointed with the extra editing help.
