    0                0

Well guys, hope you have enjoyed my interviews and posts thus far but now I am going to ask you to take a second to read this. As many of you already know, I’ve just entered to win a seat in AffiliateWire’s incredible adventure contest. The contest is Lethal Velocity: The 200MPH Challenge. Yeah, I know. It is pretty BAD ASS. The prize is totally out-of-sight. The blogger with the most votes (currently as of this post – I am in 3rd place) gets to drive an exotic supercar down an airstrip in the Mojave Desert. The challenge is to crack the 200MPH barrier and take your place in an exclusive group of other drivers who have reached this prestigious milestone.

To win, I need as many votes as I can get and that’s where you come in.

Just click here and VOTE FOR ME or click on the banner below. I would be the one that says, “Ricky Ahuja – rickyahuja.com” – just click on the radio button and then click on VOTE. Simple as that.

I really appreciate it. Should I win, I’ll be sure to blog about the experience when I get back!

    Many thanks and Much love,

    Rick

    Super Affiliates Facebook Group

    0                0

Hey Russell, thanks for taking the time to do this. Tell us some about yourself and what you do.

I got started in the online advertising business back in 1995 and was a pioneer in the email industry by 1996 having run

    More details here http://www.optinplus.com/complete

How did you start the group Super Affiliates and when was it started?

I was an early adopter to Facebook and realized how much potential it had for industry people to stay in constant communication. One of the first things I did after joining Facebook was to start the group. I think this was at the end of 2006 or maybe the beginning of 2007.

Are you the only one who monitors the group?

No there are several moderators. Each Friday as a bit of a publicity stunt for affiliate managers we add a new female moderator.  They become the “Friday Girl” and basically have the stage for the day and it’s all about them. The idea behind this is to promote personality and attract business for some of the affiliate networks and managers that participate in the group.

What was the main purpose behind starting this group?

Originally the purpose was so that I could interact more on a day to day basis with my clients. Those clients then added their friends and their friends added more people and it started to grow. Before Facebook made their group changes at the beginning of 2011 it operated more like a Listserv and people would request for me to send out Facebook Messages to people’s Inboxes promoting their offers or services and whatnot. After Facebook made the changes to the way groups operate the group really took off in popularity and has since become the busiest affiliate marketing discussion group to my knowledge. One of the main reasons for the group’s popularity is the rather backward approach to how we appreciate self promotion. The group exists as a venue where it’s okay to toot your own horn.

Where do you see this group going? Is it living up to your expectations?

We are trying to double our membership base currently from 3500 members …read more

5 Reasons Why I Love My Wife

    0                0

    Kitna Sona Rab Na Banaya

As many of you may have noticed – I have been somewhat removed from the online world/social media over the course of a few weeks and now just starting to get back into a “normal” routine. Without going into too many details in this post (a more comprehensive post will follow later), I had shall we say a major back operation that has allowed me to reflect on many aspects of my life, all of which I will blog on in the upcoming weeks and months.

I am not one to boast about too many things or people, but in this case, I can’t help it. In fact, I have and make no apologies.  I think it is crucially important to me to celebrate a special person in my life – my partner, wife, and best friend.  Sadly, it took an event like this for me to realize what I have but you better believe, this is not something I plan on forgetting anytime soon. I am amazed and astonished by my wife, Navleen – even more so now after 16 years of marriage.  Not only do I love her but…I respect her deeply.

    ALTRUISTIC

We have been together for over 16 years now and but this event allowed me to realize and understand the “other side” of her as a physician and a wife. I feel very fortunate to say the least; the care I received was second-to-none.

One of the first things I noticed, not once during the whole ordeal did she ever leave my side. This had not so much to do with her being a physician and wanting to ensure everything was done properly, but because I wanted her by my side, simple. How she was able to juggle between joining a new practice while still working at her previous group and constantly being by my side is beyond me.

I was also quite impressed with the care I received. She was totally committed to making me as comfortable as possible. She was very proactive with pain control, especially since …read more

Zac Johnson – Super in More Ways Than One

    0                0
Recently I had a chance to interview Zac Johnson and though his reputation precedes him, he is one of the most unassuming super affiliates you will come across (you may already have but may not have noticed). He single handily has been the cause for my lack of productivity over the last couple of weeks, for downloading “doodle jump” after reading one of his blog posts. To get further insight to who he is, let’s get started with the questions shall we:

Q: Zac, tell us briefly about the man, the myth, the legend – super blogger Zac Johnson AKA Money Reign.

I first got into the Internet marketing game nearly 15 years ago, and never worked for anyone else in my life. I was fortunate because I was just in high school when I got started, so I had a decent amount of time to figure out how everything worked online. Testing, tweaking and becoming addicted, Internet marketing became my life and still what I love to do today. Along the way I’ve met a ton of amazing people, helped people make money online, built an awesome company and many large web sites, traveled and spoke around the world at different conferences and was even featured on ABC News. Other than the flashy points… I’m your average guy who just likes to have fun in life, loves his family and appreciates everything I have.

Q: When and why did you start blogging? Was it out of curiosity or something else?

I first went live with my blog on St. Patricks day on 2007. I always wanted to blog, but I was never really into it, then after talking with a friend at a conference, I said “I’m finally gonna do it!”, so I went ahead and made the blog. The concept for the blog would be to share all of my stories, experiences and attempt to help other people start making money online. Four years later and I’m extremely glad I took the plunge to go forward with my blog back in 2007 and didn’t wait any longer!

Q: Do you ever get stuck about writing on a particular topic? What do …read more

10 Ways to Brand Your Blog Efficiently

    0                0

This is a blog post by Daniel Scocco.

On the latest State of the Blogosphere report, Wikipedia claimed that they are tracking over 156 million public blogs. That is a freaking lot of them. If we take into consideration standard websites as well, this number will be even bigger. The result? Hundreds, if not thousands of blogs and websites on virtually every single niche on the web.

You can also bet that a good percentage of those will be offering outstanding quality content just like you do, so the competition is fierce.

Under those circumstances, how can you make sure that your blog or website will stand out of the crowd and attract visitors?
    In one word: branding.

Bricks and mortar businesses have discovered the importance of branding decades ago, but on the web this is a relatively new trend (just five years ago you didn’t have that many websites around after all).Below we are going to cover 10 ways to brand your blog or website efficiently.

    1. Having a Clear Purpose

You must have a crystal clear vision about the purpose of your website, and you must communicate that to the visitors as well. They must know why they are visiting your website. Why it is worth their time.

“I am going to write about tech” ain’t going to cut it. What part of technology you are going to write about? Gadgets? Web 2.0? What angle you are going to have? Breaking news? Deep analysis? Where will the value to your readers come from?

You need to be able to answer to those questions easily.

Your aim is to make people associate a concept or thing with your website. If I say online video, you are going to think YouTube. If I say funny pictures of cats, you are going to think I Can Has Bheezburger. If I say gadgets, you are going to think Engadget or Gizmodo.
You get the idea. Now you must make this with your own website. It is not easy, and it takes time, but you should always keep this principle in mind.

    2. Being Consistent with the Writing Style

There are many studies confirming that the …read more

  • 5 Traits of Super Affiliates

    0                0

Super Affiliates are bold, aggressive, risk takers and leaders (jury still out on this one).  However, if you look at the way affiliates (especially Super Affiliates) are portrayed in our industry, you’d think they are all a bunch of irresponsible, how do I get laid, nitwits, who can only function behind the cloak of a blog or a network.

Consequently, many affiliates have no idea what it takes to be a Super Affiliate. They seek inappropriate role models and emulate the bad behavior that they see or read about on a regular basis. It is our duty as network owners and leaders to counter these negative images and grow a new generation of affiliates who are professional, respectful and willing to contribute to the industry in a positive way. Pace Lattin of Offer Vault says, “The industry needs to focus on professional performance based marketing and get away from the perception that we are lead by a bunch of gurus pushing their “get rich” systems. We need to take a step back from the porn star-like conventions and focus on guiding business principles.”

If we are to achieve this goal, we must start with the “man in the mirror”. I started my quest after the launch of Affiliate Venture Group. The greatest compliment that a network owner can get from his peers is “I want to be able to start a network just like yours.” That kind of pressure forces you to examine your business and identify ways to improve.

Over the last few years, I’ve discovered five traits that super affiliates possess:

Integrity – Integrity is more than being honest. It’s a lifestyle set on striving towards moral excellence. They are the same person whether or not others are watching. They are trustworthy, dependable, and unwavering.
Compassion – Compassion is sympathetic consciousness of others’ distress together with a desire to alleviate it. In other words, you feel compelled to help someone who is hurting. Affiliates aren’t often viewed as being compassionate, but it is a trait that helps us to become more connected to the people around us.
Confidence – Many people confuse confidence with arrogance and …read more

  • Affiliate Marketing for Beginners

    0                0

People are making millions of dollars every year by Affiliate marketing. But have you ever wondered how they do it? This is your chance to know and learn affiliate Marketing from me. I hope what I have written is useful to you.

Read Testimonial before you proceed: Ricky Ahuja

Ever wondered what could be the easiest way to earn money without putting too much effort and risk? Well, there could be many ways of which Affiliate Marketing is one of them. Many people mistake Affiliate Marketing as something which is very tedious and less rewarding. This has been proven time and again to be just a myth. In reality, it is a very easy job and equally rewarding as well. Many people have given up their daily jobs and taken up Affiliate Marketing as their full time career, because of the perks it provides. Think about you sitting in the leisure of your home in your favorite pajamas and without the worry of getting to the office on time.

Before you decide to start off with Affiliate Marketing, you need to know at least a little about it to one day master it. First of all, Affiliate Marketing is where you promote someone else products and in return get rewarded in the form of money or gifts. This can be done in many ways. Few of the most common ways are Conduit method, where the affiliate actually leverages the efforts of the clients they promote. Then there is the Cost per Click, but recently this is not very widely used because of the click fraud issues. We also have the Multi-tier system where the main affiliate has a couple of other affiliates under him/her and they in turn have few other people under them. So the hierarchy decides the commission from the profit.

For a beginner, the safest bet is the Conduit method, because of three main reasons. You don’t need a huge capital investment. Secondly, the Conduit method doesn’t require a lot of time from your otherwise busy …read more
